Buhari Receives Adesina In Abuja, Harps On Food Security
President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday received the President of the African Development Bank, Dr Akinwumi Adesina at the State House in Abuja to discuss food security in Nigeria.
President Buhari applauded the $1.5 billion African Emergency Food plan developed by the AfDB, which is awaiting ratification by its board.
The plan was developed to forestall the food crisis in Africa owing to the Russia-Ukraine crisis. ###
ASUU strike: KASU orders students, lecturers to resume classes
As the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, continues its strike, the Authority of the Kaduna State University (KASU), on Wednesday has ordered students and academic staff members to resume full academic activities on May 9, 2022.
In a circular dated April 26, and signed by its academic secretary, Abdullahi Zubairu, the school management directed all students and lecturers of the institution to resume academic activities. #
2023: Osinbajo Seeks Support In Ogun, Receives Royal Blessings
Vice President Yemi Osinbajo on Tuesday met with critical stakeholders in Ogun state as part of his ongoing consultations towards the realization of his 2023 presidential ambitions.
Addressing the Remo traditional rulers, traditional council and members of the All Progressives Congress in Remo, the Vice President said he was the best man for the job with a track record of experience, patriotism and the fear of God.
He also met behind closed doors with party officials and delegate members to the presidential primary expected to take place in Abuja next month

Russia halted gas supplies to Poland and Bulgaria on Wednesday, after blasts in a breakaway region of neighbouring Moldova led Kyiv to accuse Moscow of seeking to expand the Ukraine war further into Europe.
The Russian energy giant Gazprom said it had cut supplies to Poland and Bulgaria, in Moscow’s latest use of gas as a weapon in a conflict that has now dragged into its third month and claimed thousands of lives. #
