Buhari Apologizes To Nigerians Over Fuel Scarcity, Reacts to Blackouts
President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday apologized to Nigerians for the inconvenience caused by the prolonged shortage of petroleum products.
In a statement by the Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, said his administration had successfully averted such a problem in its seven years in office.
The president said the government is working round the clock to attend to the issue. Added that they are working together with the Major Oil Marketers to end the issue of fuel scarcity for the betterment of Nigerians. #

The National Leader of All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu, in his bid to become President, said he wants to step into the shoes of President Muhammadu Buhari and not on his toes.
Tinubu made the remark on Wednesday during a meeting with the APC House of Representatives Caucus at the National Assembly in Abuja, he described the National Assembly as a vital arm of government, saying the legislators had made important contributions to the unity and stability of the country.
Before meeting with the lawmakers in the House, he had begun the consultations at the National Assembly with the APC Senate Caucus, where he seeks their partnership in his quest to become the Presidential Candidate of APC. #

The National Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Senator Iyorchia Ayu, has appealed to members across the country to stay united to ensure the party’s success at all times.
He made the plea on Wednesday at an expanded meeting of the PDP Board of Trustees and the party’s National Executive Committee (NEC) in Abuja.
Ayu’s plea to the party faithful comes against the backdrop of the rift between Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State and Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State
Ayu also said Nigeria need strong democratic institutions and not strong men, stressing the need for the PDP to position itself to reclaim power come 2023. #
Soludo’s Inauguration: Tight Security As Guests Begin To Arrive
All is now set for the inauguration of Charles Soludo as the governor of Anambra State, as he will take over from Willie Obiano, following his landslide victory at the poll conducted last year.
Although the governor-elect said the event will be low-key, as of early Thursday, the venue of the inauguration was a hive of activities as guests, including the outgoing governor and his wife, began to arrive. The atmosphere looked bright as the red carpet covered much of the inauguration ground.

Super Falcons To Face Canada In Double-Header Friendly
Reigning African champions Super Falcons of Nigeria will face Canada in a double-header international friendly in April.
The friendly is organized to celebrate Canada’s triumph at the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo.
The first match will take place at BC Place, Vancouver on Friday, April 8, while the second friendly is billed for the Langford’s Stadium, Vancouver Island on Monday, April 11.
