With Peter Obi, Change is coming – LP Chairman

The National Chairman, of Labour Party, Julius Abure says, disappointments which Nigerians experienced with the governments of PDP and APC, is about to end with a Labour Party government in Nigeria.

Abure who spoke at the national headquarters of the party in Abuja on Wednesday said the candidacy of peter Obi, Labour Party presidential flag bearer respects a product whose promise and market value Nigerians understand as a needed change.

Mr Abure was speaking when a governorship aspirant from Imo state under Labour Party, AIG rtd Charles Ugomuoh led a delegation on a solidarity visit at the party headquarters reminded Nigerians of the economic, security and infrastructure failures under PDP and APC.

AIG Charles Ugomuoh said that he and his delegation were ready to work with the leadership of Labour Party to deliver the great expectations and hope of many Nigerians in a Labour Party government under a Peter obi presidency.

Ugomouh regretted that Imo State whose main industry is education has been underdeveloped in all facets of life causing unemployment and employability, insecurity and an underperforming economy.

A member of the delegation, Barrister Maxwell Opara told the Labour Party chairman that Ugomuoh and his team were prepared to support Labour party in penetrating the grassroots, ensuring security and providing financial and legal support to ensure victory in the 2023 election.

The delegation formally informed the leadership of Labour Party the intention of AIG (rtd) Charles Ugomuoh to contest the next governorship election in Imo State in 2024.

Ugomuoh had on October 17th 2022 declared his intention to contest the governorship seat of Imo State under Labour Party promising to provide good, citizen-centered governance and solve the security challenges confronting the state.
