Average price of kerosene, cooking gas increases in April – NBS
The National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), says the average price per litre paid by consumers for National Household Kerosene increased from three hundred and sixty-one naira , twenty-nine kobo to three hundred and sixty-two naira, sixty-eight kobo in April.
The bureau said this in its National Household Kerosene Price Watch for April 2021 obtained from its website on Wednesday in Abuja.
According to the report, the price of kerosene increased by zero point three-eight percent month-on-month and by 5.95 per cent year-on-year in the period under review.
It said states with the highest average price per litre of kerosene were, Taraba at four hundred and seventy-eight naira , eighty-nine kobo, Ebonyi four hundred and sixty-eight naira thirty-three kobo and Benue four hundred and fifty-two naira , seventeen kobo
However, in Abuja it was sold at two hundred and fifty naira , Bayelsa two hundred and fifty-five naira, seventy-one kobo and in Yobe two hundred and ninety naira, twenty-eight kobo which were the lowest average price per litre for kerosene in April.
The report revealed that States with the highest average price per gallon of kerosene were; Katsina, Kebbi and Jigawa
While States with the lowest average price per gallon of kerosene were, Bayelsa, Delta and Rivers
