Abuja community protest death of resident in Police custody

Residents of Kubusa community, a suburb of the Federal Capital Territory Abuja, Tuesday protested the alleged death of a resident in Police custody.

The protest led to a clash between residents and the police where the officers shot in the air and tear gased the protesters.

It was alleged that there were fatalities and injuries as a result of the confrontation, a development that has not been confirmed by the Police

Residents told newsmen they took to the streets to protest the death in Police custody of a resident who earlier on Monday had been arrested by the Police for an offense.

It  of was learnt that relations of those arrested had gone to visit them at the Police station where they were allegedly informed of the death of one of the suspects.
