Speaking while signing the bill into law at the Government House, Bauchi, on Monday, Mohammed said, “We’re today again making history in collaboration with the House of Assembly and the Government of Bauchi.

“We cannot allow ourselves to be cowed or wowed by the COVID-19, our timelines, milestones must be achieved and we are working as a government to make sure that all the deliverables are being delivered within the timeline.”

The governor said his administration was paying special attention to the state’s Internal Generated Revenue, which according to him, has risen by 300 per cent since he assumed office.

The governor explained that his administration would rely on its internally generated revenue to borrow from the banks as against the usual practice of relying on the federal government allocations.
