Delta Gov Okowa, wife test positive for coronavirus
The Delta State Governor, Ifeanyi Okowa, and his wife, Edith, have tested positive for coronavirus.
Governor Okowa made the announcement Wednesday morning on his Twitter handle.
“My wife and I have tested positive for COVID-19. We are well and continuing with our isolation/medication.
“We thank you all for your continued prayers for us and our daughter”, he tweeted.
Last week, Okowa announced that one of his daughters tested positive for COVID-19, and that he was going into isolation, along side his wife.
Delta State recorded 965 confirmed cases as at Tuesday, 190 persons recovered, while 23 fatalities were also recorded against the state.
