The Bayelsa State Governor, Mr Douye Diri, has carried out a minor cabinet reshuffle six months after he appointed commissioners.
He announced his decision during the 22nd State Executive Council Meeting, at the Government House, Yenagoa, on Wednesday.
In the exercise, the state Commissioner for Labour and Employment, Mr Federal Otokito, was redeployed to the Ministry of Trade and Investment, while his counterpart in charge of that ministry, Mr Stanley Braboke, was moved to Labour and Employment.
Diri explained that the change was made in the interest of the state, urging the council members to always remember they were appointed to serve the people.
He said, “The Honourable Commissioner for Trade and Investment is, hereby, redeployed to the Ministry of Labour and Employment. In the same vein, the Honourable Commissioner for Labour and Employment is, hereby, redeployed to the Ministry of Trade and Investment.
