Enugu community pledge unalloyed support to Ugwuanyi, pass vote of confidence on Commissioner for Sports

▪︎Says Hon. Manfred Nzekwe, a worthy ambassador and selfless leader

The Ahani Autonomous Community in Oji River LGA of Enugu State, has congratulated the Enugu State Governor,  Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi for his exceptional leadership and pledged their support to his administration.

The community said that under Ugwuanyi’s leadership “Enugu State has witnessed unprecedented peace, security and massive infrastructural development across all the sectors and communities in the State. As the Bible says when the righteous is in power, the people rejoice and this is the situation in our State today”.

In a letter to the Governor signed by two traditional rulers, officials of the town union and some prominent representatives of the community, they thanked him “for the numerous democracy dividends which your Government has extended to our community”.

According to the community, it includes the grant of N5,000,000.00 which they used to complete their community market and town hall, the renovation of Ahani Primary School, construction of two (2) classroom blocks at Ahani Technical School among other projects.

The community also thanked the Governor “in a special way for finding our dear son Manfred Nzekwe worthy to be appointed into the Enugu State Executive Council, as the Honourable Commissioner for Sports and Youth Development”.

They described Hon. Nzekwe as a “result oriented selfless leader, team player, bridge builder and peace maker, who for so many years has sacrificed so much and invested his time and personal resources in developing our community”.

“We are also using this opportunity to pass a VOTE OF CONFIDENCE on the leadership he has illustriously provided and continues to provide in our community. Indeed he is a worthy Ambassador”, the letter also said.

In another development the Traditional Ruler of Ahani Achi, Igwe Raph Nzekwe has condemned demonstrations by those he described as “enemies of the people” against the election of a new leadership for the National Association of Ahani Achi Youth Progress (NAAAYP).

Igwe Nzekwe who is also a medical doctor told signaturetv.org in Enugu, that the election of the new executive  “followed due process and was witnessed by representatives of the Ministry of Sports and Youth Development, Oji River Local Government, Nigeria Police Force and other security agencies”.

He called on indegenes of the community to ignore those he referred to as “disgruntled politicians and professional anarchists bent on disrupting the peace in Ahani Community and join hands with well meaning and authentic leaders of the community to move Ahani Achi forward”.
