GOVERNOR MBAH CHARGES SOUTH EAST DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION TO FOSTER REGIONAL GROWTH

The Enugu State Governor, Peter Mbah wants the South East Development Commission (SEDC) to develop the region into a common market and ensure infrastructure development of the zone.

Governor Mbah gave the charge during a meeting with the management and Board of the commission held at the Government House in Enugu.
Mbah emphasized the importance of treating the South East as a single market by ensuring seamless economic activities and functional transport system.

He commended President Bola Tinubu for establishing the Commission and appointing experienced and skilled individuals to drive its mandate.

The Chairman of the Commission, Chukwuemeka Wogu, and Managing Director, Mark Okoye, praised Governor Mbah’s efforts in transforming the infrastructure, health, education, and the economy of Enugu state.

They listed the several initiatives of the commission including the South East Security Intervention Programme, South East Regional Economic Programme, and other development activities.
