The Enugu State Command of the Nigeria Immigration Service has pledged to support the state government in bringing about security and stability in the state.
The new Controller of Immigration Service in Enugu State, Nkechi Enete, made the commitment during a courtesy visit to Governor Peter Mbah at the Government House, Enugu.
Enete, who assumed office on January 31, 2025, emphasized that the command under her watch will operate within the extant laws to check, control, and monitor the presence of non-Nigerians and their activities in the state.

Receiving the Comptroller, Governor Mbah appreciated the partnership between the state government and the immigration service which he said has enhanced the ease of doing business in the state.
He noted that the organization is a strategic partner in the state government’s drive to grow the economy of the state exponentially and promised to assist the agency in overcoming its challenges, as requested by the Controller.
