Group Calls Wike To Drop Presidential Ambition

A-Pro South East group rooting for President of South-East extraction, South East Patriots, SEP has called on the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike to drop his political ambition to become president and allow South East to contest.
The group said it was unfair for any candidate from any region outside of the South East to contest for the presidency in 2023 because the South East has been marginalized and excluded from the scheme of the Nigerian national political leadership for 52 years.
The Convener of the Group, Obunike Ohaegbu while briefing journalists in Abuja on Tuesday said the position of the presidency should be left for the South East and North East that have not provided a president.
The group also said it will be in the best interest of Nigeria to allow competent hands from the South East to lead the country and assuage the long marginalization that has ignited different agitations like the IPOB.
