Gunmen Sack Police Station in Cross River
Another police station in Ekori in Yakurr Local Government Area of Cross River State has been attacked by unknown gunmen.
Reports say the gunmen carted away an AK 47 after beating up policemen on duty.
An eyewitness said the hoodlums scared away the officers on duty, beat one to stupor and made away with the AK-47 rifle of the policeman.
The attack has led to the closure of the Ekori police station indefinitely and officers asked to move to UGEP Divisional Police at the Local Government headquarters.
This is the third time that officers of the Nigeria Police Force have suffered attacks within two months in Cross River State
