Health Sciences And Technology Faculty Marks Leadership Transition With Tree-Planting
The Faculty of Health Sciences and Technology, University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus, has honoured its outgoing Dean, Professor Charles Ezema, and Associate Dean, Dr. Ijeoma Ilo, as they successfully concluded their two-year tenure. The ceremony celebrated their exemplary leadership, landmark achievements, and unwavering commitment to the growth and development of the faculty.
The leadership transition ceremony commenced with a thanksgiving service, where staff, students, and well-wishers offered gratitude to God for a peaceful, successful, and impactful administration. Prayers were also offered for continued progress, unity, and greater accomplishments for the faculty under the incoming leadership.
In a symbolic demonstration of continuity and sustainable growth, the outgoing Dean, Professor Charles Ezema, the outgoing Associate Dean, Dr. Ijeoma Ilo, and Heads of Departments planted commemorative trees at the site of the faculty’s new pre-clinical building currently under construction.
The exercise underscored the values of growth, renewal, collaboration, and a shared commitment to the faculty’s future.
Reflecting on his two-year stewardship, Professor Charles Ezema highlighted the major milestones recorded during his administration, attributing the successes to teamwork, dedication, and the collective commitment of members of the faculty.
He expressed appreciation to staff for their unwavering support and encouraged the incoming leadership to consolidate on the existing achievements and move the faculty to even greater heights.
Also speaking, the outgoing Associate Dean, Dr. Ijeoma Ilo, thanked the Heads of Departments, academic and non-academic staff for their cooperation, professionalism, and confidence throughout their tenure.
She described the opportunity to serve as a privilege and urged members of the faculty to continue working together in the interest of excellence and institutional advancement.
