LG election: Makinde’s convoy allegedly kills toddler in Ogbomoso
Reports coming in from Ogbomosho, Oyo State indicate that the convoy of the State Governor, Seyi Makinde allegedly ran over a toddler, killing him.
It was gathered that the accident happened when the governor visited Ogbomoso on Thursday for a PDP event.
The identity of the victim has not been ascertained as of the time of filing this report.
It was gathered that the Governor was in Ogbomoso to lead a campaign of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The campaign train was in Ogbomoso ahead of Saturday’s local government election in the state.
Some residents of the ancient city are currently protesting the killing of the toddler by the Governor’s convoy.
Some of those who stormed the venue of the campaign condemned the death of the toddler.
Efforts to reach the Publicity Secretary of the PDP in the state, Akeem Olatunji has also proven abortive as calls put through to him were not also answered or returned.
