The Yobe State Governor and Chairman, All Progressives Congress (APC) Caretaker Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee, Hon. Mai Mala Buni, has expressed sadness at the inferno that engulfed the Nguru market.

The governor made his feelings known via his spokesman Mamman Mohammed in a statement issued on Saturday.

Buni in the statement described as sad and unfortunate the yearly reoccurrence of the fire incident which had continued to rob traders of their means of livelihood.

He noted that government would continue to explore means of making life meaningful to the people.

Buni also directed the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) to assess the damages and furnish the government with the details.
