NSE: The market bounced back on Tuesday as investors gained N5.6 Billion naira.
The market capitalization of equities listed on the nation’s stock market rose by Five Point Six Billion naira, all market indices closing blue.
The market has been on a losing streak since Tuesday last week, but however, gained Five Point Six Billion naira gain on Tuesday.
All the market indices, the equity capitalization, The All Share Index, the volume, the value, and the total number of deals closed in the positive.
The equity capitalization rose from Twenty-One Trillion naira on Monday to Twenty-One Point Zero- One Trillion on Tuesday, a five point six -Billion-naira gain.
The All Share Index consequently close Forty Thousand One Hundred and Sixty-Four Point Eight-Six points, an upward movement from at Forty Thousand, One Hundred and Fifty-Four Point Nine points, a zero point zero-three percent rise.
The number of traded stocks also rose from Two Hundred and Eighty-Nine Point Three Million, to Three Hundred and Thirty-Nine Point Nine–Five Million. This was a Sixteen Point Eight percent increase.
The value similarly climbed to Three point Eight Billion naira from Three point Five Seven Billion naira traded on Monday.
The upturn was impacted by gains recorded in medium and large capitalized stocks, amongst which are, LIVESTOCK FEEDS PLC, AIICO, ZENNITH BANK, and FLOUR MILLS OF NIGERIA.
However, the bears led the floor, as there were Twenty-Four losers and only Sixteen gainers.
LIVESTOCK FEED PLC was the highest gainer, while SUNU ASSURANCES NIGERIAN PLC was on top of the loser’s chart.
ZENITH BANK, UNITED CAPITAL and GUARANTY TRUST BANK were the preference of investors, trading over Sixteen Million shares each, in over Three Hundred and Twenty deals.
